September, 2006
Fourth Wave is very pleased to have been selected to lead the initiation of the "Cultivating Communities of Practice for Collaborative Care" project led by Cancer Care Nova Scotia to ehance the effectiveness of interprofessional educators in promoting collaborative patient-centred practice.
Cancer Care Nova Scotia coordinates, evaluates, and strengthens cancer services. Working with others in the field of cancer and health, their programs cover prevention, screening, education, treatment, follow-up care and palliation.
The purpose of the project retreat was to create a shared understanding of the vision and goals for the project and to create a foundation of operating guidelines that will promote high performance in the team and identify opportunities to work in a more integrated way.
